S2/3 Elective – Enterprise and ICT

Duration

2 periods per week over one year.

Course Content

Students will have the opportunity to develop their ICT skills in a range of business-related contexts, including organising and running small scale events.

Students will use a range of digital technologies including Microsoft Office applications to collect, prepare and communicate information.

Students will be expected to take part in a number of group-based enterprise activities to raise money for chosen charities. This could include creating and selling a product, providing a service or organising events for fellow students to enjoy. As well as ICT, students will develop a range of personal skills and qualities including team work, leadership, communication and organisation.

The final project will involve all students planning, organising and running a real event allowing them to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have acquired.
