NPA Business and Marketing

The National Progression Award (NPA) in Business and Marketing at SCQF Level 5 provides learners with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to work in a modern Business environment. Learning in the units of this NPA will equip learners with skills such as: 

• Practical ICT skills 
• Research and presentation skills 
• Employability skills 
• Team work and communication skills 

As well as broadening the Business knowledge and skills of learners, this NPA will provide opportunities for learners to develop their potential for progression into the world of work and further education at college. 

Learners will be required to pass the following units to achieve the NPA, the equivalent of a National 5 qualification at Grade C. 

• Understanding Business 
• Skills for Customer Care 
• Management of Marketing & Operations 
• Marketing: Basic Principles and Applications 
• Event Organisation 

Learners will be encouraged to work independently as well as work effectively in small groups to complete set projects.
