Investment Challenge

The Investment Challenge competition, sponsored by investment company BNP Paribas, aims to introduce young people to the excitement and challenge of the financial services industry. Working in pairs to analyse market and media information and make effective investment decisions, pupils develop their communication, analytical and team working skills to buy and sell shares in fictional companies on the stock market to grow their investment portfolio. The winning team is the one with the highest fund value and return on investment % at the end of the trading period.

Teams of S5/6 pupils from Madras College have had considerable success in the competition for north-east Scotland schools in recent years.
