Administration and IT

Courses in Administration and IT develop both practical and theoretical skills and knowledge relevant to the world of work. Set in the context of Administration and Events Management, courses from N3 to Higher enable learners to experience relevant practical activities, which develop their digital literacy skills in using a range of software applications (word processing, desk-top publishing, database, spreadsheets and communication) to provide solutions to a range of business and IT-related scenarios.

Courses encourage learners to develop their organisation, file management and time/task management skills, as well as improving their awareness of current legislation and the importance of customer service. The development of numeracy and literacy skills is also promoted, encouraging learners to take pride in their work to ensure that all tasks are completed with care and accuracy, thus creating a positive corporate image.
