Madras Parent's Council

All parents/guardians of pupils at Madras College are members of the Parent Forum. This Forum elects members to the Parent Council, which takes on some of the activities that used to be carried out by the Parent Teacher Association and the School Board. The Parent Forum and Parent Council are important parts of the partnership in learning for the pupils.

The Parent Council has contributed to the discussions about the New Madras College building, amongst other topics.

The Parent Council aims:

to work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school to be inclusive for all (parents, pupils, teachers, wider community)

to promote partnerships between the school, its pupils, all its parents and community
to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of pupils
to identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school, and on other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils

The Parent Council runs its own website, www.madrasboard.org.uk, where information about the Council is published.
The Council also publishes various reports and documents from the school for parents to see.
