Well done to Mr Tarvet and his team on becoming the Scottish Schools U16 Rugby Champions after beating Hawick High School at Murrayfield. This is a massive achievement for the boys and a fitting end for Madras teacher and coach Jim Tarvet who, after 25-years distinguished service to the game, is standing down from extra-curricular rugby at the end of the season.

Corryn Christie (S4), Daniel Duthie (S4) and Jordan Denwette (S5) represented Madras College at the Scottish Schools' Indoor Athletic Championships, held at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow. Corryn took part in the U18 Girls' 60 metre sprint, but found the competition strong and failed to qualify in her heat.

Congratulations to Daniel and Jordan who both qualified for the finals. Dan finished in 5th place in the U16 boys' high jump, clearing the bar at 1.60m. Jordan was up against the Scottish No.1, in the boys U18, 60 metre sprint final and finished in an excellent 5th place, in a very close contested final.

These results are excellent as the standard of the athletes are exceptional.
