Cycle Speedway

Speedway is a cycling event consisting of 16 races, each with 4 riders (from teams of 8) racing for 4 laps around the games hall. Speedway has been an excellent addition to the activities available at Madras and it is hoped that the sport can grow. Mr Tarvet runs the club and he has some extremely enthusiastic and promising pupils coming along.

Schools in Fife, Edinburgh and Glasgow are trying to promote Cycle Speedway. Each year in June, we participate in the Scottish Schools Cycle Speedway Championship and won it in its inception year in 2013.
