Getting Involved

Why not get involved. As the Active Schools Coordinator for Madras College part of my role is to recruit and support volunteers to deliver sports clubs to young people. You really could help us to make a big difference and most importantly give more children and young people the chance to take part in a fun activity or sport session.

You don’t have to be a special type of person to be a volunteer, anyone can do it. You do not need to know about sport you only need to know about children. If you like working with children and are enthusiastic I would be delighted to hear from you. Please do not be put off if you haven’t done anything like this before as full training and support will be offered from the outset.

There are many benefits to be gained from becoming a volunteer at your local school. You may be looking for a change in career, aiming to get back into employment or wishing to enhance your c.v. or just want to give something back.

Anyone who wishes to become a volunteer in their local school will be required to complete a Disclosure Scotland PVG application. Active Schools will pay for this form to be processed however as there is now a £60 cost we would be looking for an approximate commitment. If you are interested in any of the above opportunities or would like to volunteer in another sport or activities please contact Leanne Reid on: Tel: 03451 555 555 ext 401456 Email: Leanne.Reid@fife.gov.uk
