Geography is taught as part of the S1 Social Subjects integrated S1 course.
Pupils will look at local, national and international geographical issues.
- Local - Pupils learn about human and physical maps linking to Scotland before focussing on Fife and St Andrews. Pupils look at the changes St Andrews has experienced which in turn develops their map skills. Pupils also touch on settlement and climate issues impacting on St Andrews.
- National - Pupils embark on a comprehensive study on the key physical aspects of Scotland from mountains and valleys to rivers and our spectacular coastline.
- International - Pupils look at an international geographical context with a focus on India. Pupils learn about the natural resources of India, the cause and impact of the Monsoon and the impact on its people.
