Pupils will study three topics in S1 Social Studies. Each topic will be covered in Geography, History and Modern Studies.
Pupils will develop important knowledge and skills across the Social Subjects. They will also develop their literacy and numeracy skills and awareness of Health and Wellbeing. Opportunities will be sought to incorporate ICT and learning experiences outside of the classroom.

- St Andrews
Currently as part of their St Andrews topics all pupils are given the opportunity to visit the Cathedral and work with the University’s Computing Science department to explore a virtual rendition of the Cathedral.
Pupils should expect regular homework. A formal piece of homework will be set in every subject covering the three topics (approx every 4 weeks)
Pupils will be assessed through their class work and homework.
Pupils should also expect three summative tests, one at the end of each topic area.
