S2 Religious and Moral Education

In S2, pupils study the unit “Issues of Morality” where they will explore various philosophical questions such as “What is Morality?” as well as reflect on different ethical dilemmas.

During the course, pupils will examine religious diversity and consider how to create a more just, equal, compassionate and tolerant society. They will investigate a moral issue of their choice, researching a variety of religious and non-religious stances, and presenting their findings.

Pupils will use various resources in their research as the department has a wide range of textbooks and documentaries dealing with some of the moral issues as well as having the chance to do research in the school library and online as well as conduct a class survey.
